Step Inside FCJ College: Wrapping Up the Semester on a High
Jun 26, 2026

As Semester 1 draws to a close, our FCJ College community celebrated an incredible term of learning, creativity, achievement and connection.
The Gig provided the perfect finale to the semester, with live student performances, music trivia and a surprise appearance from the staff band. The evening celebrated the musical journeys of our students while bringing together families, friends and staff for a night filled with talent, encouragement and community spirit. It was wonderful to see so many students step onto the stage, support one another and share their passion for music.

Our Year 9 students proudly wrapped up the semester by presenting their final Showcase projects across Humanities, Art and STEM. Their work explored a diverse range of topics, including sustainable town planning, moon missions, engineering, historic figures and events, recycling, and imaginative reinterpretations of classic comic book art. The showcase reflected students' creativity, curiosity and the depth of learning achieved throughout the semester.
Our VCE Unit 1 Systems Engineering students also impressed with a demonstration of their dancing robots. From designing and 3D printing components to wiring electronic circuits and programming movement and sound, students applied creativity, persistence and technical expertise to bring their projects to life. It was a fantastic example of hands-on learning and innovation.
The semester concluded with our Whole School Assembly, where we recognised the outstanding achievements of students across academics, sport, and the arts.
