Step Inside FCJ College: Celebrating our Class of 2025

The weeks are flying by, and it’s no wonder — there’s been so much happening, and so much fun here at FCJ College.

On Tuesday our year 8 students took part in the Live4Life Celebration, a vibrant and meaningful day full of fun activities. A huge shoutout to our incredible Year 9 Live4Life Crew Members who played such an important role in making the day so much fun. Live4Life is an empowering program that equips young people with the tools to support their friends and recognise when someone might be struggling.

Meanwhile, our Year 10 Barista students have been honing their skills during a specialised training session this week. Their enthusiasm for crafting the perfect coffee is impressive, and they’re already planning their next venture — a Halloween-themed pop-up next Thursday! Keep your eyes peeled at recess near the Food Tech area for their spooktacular creations!

This week also marked a major milestone — our Year 12s celebrated their final week of school! From “Anything But a Bag Day” to dressing as their younger selves by recreating outfits from their childhood photos, the energy and laughter was infectious. It all culminated in Thursday’s Year 12 Assembly and Celebration Day. A heartwarming and fitting farewell for this remarkable cohort. Interestingly, this group began their secondary journey during the COVID years and didn’t experience a full term of in-person schooling until Year 9. The resilience, adaptability, and positivity they’ve shown ever since is truly inspiring. We couldn’t be prouder of the unique, grounded young adults they’ve become. Wishing them all the very best for their upcoming exams — in true Class of 2025 style, it’s time to Lock In!

Finally, a huge congratulations to our students who have been nominated to be apart of our 2026 Leadership Team. Each nominee bravely delivered a speech before their peers and teachers, outlining their vision for the school and their passion for leadership. The calibre of candidates was outstanding. We wish them the very best as the process continues — and look forward to announcing our 2026 School Captains at the End of Year Assembly next month!
