We work closely in partnership with the first educators in our students’ lives, their families.

Selecting a secondary school for your child is a very important decision and the transition process for your child is equally important.

The FCJ College Newsletter is published fortnightly. The link is emailed to families and is available on the College website. This publication includes important information such as a report from the Principal, notices, activities and achievements of our staff and students.

We celebrate our students’ achievements in and out of school, so please keep us informed by emailing admin@fcjbenalla.catholic.edu.au

Email is our primary form of communication during transition and throughout your child’s schooling.

Regularly check the inboxes of the email you provided at enrolment and please advise the College office if those details change at any time.

SIMON is a Learning Management system that FCJ College uses to mange and communicate with students, teachers and parents. Students and teachers use SIMON daily for resources, messages, timetables, feedback, reports and much more.

Our Parent Access Module (PAM) provides parents with a means to monitor their child’s learning and results. We expect families to become familiar with and utilise PAM regularly.

PAM provides parents with the following:

  • as soon as a task is marked, you can see that mark and discuss the result with your child, access student reports, timetables, attendance, information, school news and daily messages.
  • update medical details, access resources, school links and forms.
  • all excursion and activity information and permissions are also on PAM. It is a legal requirement that all student medical information is updated twice annually on our records.

We ask all families to log into the Parent Access Module (PAM), revise the Student Medical Profile of their children, along with providing Emergency Contacts and phone numbers, and ensure you also provide us with your current email address. To do this, simply click on My Settings and then update the email information. Updating this information is extremely important and supports FCJ College in meeting all our students’ contact and medical needs.

The SIMON Everywhere app delivers PAM accessibility with easy login using existing PAM credentials, plus the ability for parents to communicate directly with teachers and notify student absences.

The SIMON Everywhere App is available to download from the App Store or Google Play, using the same login credentials as PAM.
